In May 2014, we supplied the Széged Zoological Garden (Hungary) with keeping tanks for breeding the meadow vipers, namely the Danubian meadow viper
Vipera ursinii rakosiensis: the snake has been recently facing extinction in Hungary. At the same time, we installed the tanks with all facilities replicating the viper´s natural habitats, thus providing the snakes with suitable conditions for breeding.
The Széged Zoo has been involved in the LIFE+ Programme, funded by the European Union aiming at supporting Danubian meadow viper in the wild. The keeping tanks, professional technological facilities supplied by NaturaServis Ltd. allow the zoo not only to reproduce the threatened reptiles but also to raise awareness of their conservation among the general public.
